Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of SME clients, acting as their trusted point of contact.

Review and oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts and financial statements.

Review corporation tax returns, VAT returns and other compliance work.

Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing commercial and financial advice.

Manage workflow across your client portfolio, ensuring deadlines are met.

Supervise, mentor and develop junior members of the team.

Review work prepared by junior accountants, providing constructive feedback and technical support.

Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients.

Work closely with senior leadership to support the continued growth of the practice.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal quality procedures.
About You
You'll be an experienced accountant from an accountancy practice background who enjoys managing client relationships and leading others.
You'll ideally have:

ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent?

Previous experience within an accountancy practice.

Experience managing a portfolio of clients.

Strong knowledge of statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT and corporation tax.

Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

A proactive, commercial approach with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service.
