The Role:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Group Finance Manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of trial balances for assigned entities.
- Assisting the Group Finance Manager with accounting for property and management entities.
- Analysing financial data and posting month-end journals.
- Reviewing issues and overspends at the home level.
- Managing accruals, prepayments, fixed assets register, and full balance sheet reconciliation.
- Providing general accounts support and responding to ad hoc requests.
- Reviewing the accuracy and completeness of invoices.
- Reconciling invoices between accounting systems.
- Reviewing cash books and receipts.
- Preparing weekly Flash Reporting.
- Reviewing invoice postings and ensuring proper coding.
- Managing payment allocations and cash book updates.
- Preparing payment runs and reconciling corporate card transactions.
- Assisting with payroll administration and resolving related queries.
- Processing payroll and relevant journals.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
