Assistant Management Accountant - 14 Month Contract - Hayes

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant, supporting senior stakeholders and contributing to the production of accurate, insightful financial reporting.

The Role

As Assistant Management Accountant, you will:

• Support the month-end close process and assist with preparation of monthly management accounts.

• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, working capital, and cashflow reports, including insightful commentary and variance analysis.

• Reconcile and forecast revenue streams, order intake, and margins.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review and sign-off.

• Produce monthly P&L reports for key business areas, providing commentary.

• Maintain accruals and prepayments schedules.

• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate coding of invoices.

• Produce key customer sales reports and performance KPIs.

• Support reporting processes through tools such as Excel and Power BI.

• Provide support for internal and external audit requirements.

• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

About You

You will be:

• A part-qualified or finalist accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or qualified by experience.

• Experienced in a similar finance role (minimum 2 years).

• Highly proficient in Excel, with strong analytical and data-handling skills.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive, professional approach.

• A strong communicator able to work effectively across UK and international teams.

• Familiar with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, Dynamics, Hyperion, OneStream) and BI tools (e.g. Power BI) – desirable but not essential.

• Self-motivated, with a focus on learning, improvement, and career development.
