Finance Manager in Slough

The Role
As the Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of the business’s financial operations, preparing accurate and timely management accounts and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. You will oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis, working closely with the business owners to deliver key financial insights. Your responsibilities will include managing month-end processes such as reconciliations, VAT, accruals, prepayments, and monitoring working capital and stock movements, all within the Xero accounting platform. Additionally, you will liaise with external accountants and overseas back-office teams, supporting banking relationships and helping shape the company's financial controls and processes.

About You

You are a part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with demonstrable experience in management accounts and cash flow management.

You possess strong expertise in preparing management accounts and delivering detailed financial analysis, with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

You have a solid understanding of VAT regulations, foreign currency transactions, and stock accounting, including stock movements and inventory management.

You’re highly proficient in Excel, with previous experience using Xero accounting software, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Possessing excellent communication skills, you can confidently collaborate with business owners and external teams, providing sound financial advice and challenging where appropriate.

Experience within commodity trading, international trading, import/export, or manufacturing will be advantageous, as will previous exposure to offshore finance teams.
