The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, Chartered financial planning firm that is continuing to grow and invest in its people. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Planning Administrator who enjoys the administrative side of financial planning but is keen to progress into a Paraplanner role over time. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to Financial Planners while working closely with advisers and experienced Paraplanners, gaining valuable hands-on exposure to the financial planning process, reporting, and advice preparation. Additionally, you will be supported in your professional qualifications.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality administrative support to Financial Planners and Paraplanners
- Maintaining accurate client records in line with FCA and data protection requirements
- Processing new business, including applications, transfers, and provider correspondence
- Liaising with product providers, platforms, and clients to obtain information and updates
- Maintaining client files, suitability documentation, and compliance records
- Assisting with diary management, meeting preparation, and follow-up actions
- Supporting ongoing servicing activities such as valuations, reviews, and policy updates
- Assisting with financial reporting and documentation
- Acting as a professional and friendly point of contact for clients
- As part of the development pathway, you will gradually become involved in suitability reports, technical research, cashflow modelling, and the use of financial planning tools, with full mentoring and training provided.
About You
- Previous experience within financial services or wealth management
- Experience working with Intelliflo (essential)
- Experience or exposure to Voyant, Providers, Platforms and FE Analytics
- Ability to produce grammatically correct correspondence and proof-read with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems
- Knowledge of FCA-regulated environments
- An interest in financial planning qualifications (or already studying)
You will be proactive, eager to learn, and motivated by long-term career development. You’ll enjoy the administrative side of the role but be keen to take on more technical responsibility over time, working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
