Head of Finance – West Drayton – Permanent
The Head of Finance is an exciting and challenging position in a subsidiary business of a small communications group. The Head of Finance will have primary responsibility for the finance function. As part of the senior management team, you will also be expected to have input into all areas of the business and requires strong leadership experience.
Two finance team members report into the Head of Finance role. Key areas of ownership include:
- Management accounts and reporting
- Purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
- Monthly cashflow forecasts
- VAT returns
- Quarterly invoicing
- Systems and process improvements for all finance and associated systems
- Group Reporting to CFO
Key experience requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with sound accounting and finance practices – financial compliance activities and management accounting performance review and analysis.
- Recent experience operating in small businesses or SME organisations (T/O £5-10 million) as finance lead or number 2 ready for the next step.
- Leadership experience – the candidate is expected to have employee management experience and preferably will have experience of being on a senior management team.
- Strong IT systems and process experience – demonstrable experience in driving process improvements.
- Commercially aware and with the ability to identify opportunities and lead on strategic initiatives.
- Driven and ambitious with an inquisitive nature, willing to challenge and question existing practices.
