Management Accountant - Supply Chain / Chessington / £40-55,000

A challenging and incredibly exciting role awaits an experienced Systems Management Accountant. Reporting to the Strategic Finance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the production team and the finance team to ensure precise and accurate processing of all supply chain and production accounting documents and transactions. A primary objective and responsibility of the role is to help to implement and then manage the company’s new idocuments automated AP processing software. You’ll have a solid background in management accounting to provide you with a foundation to manage this powerful and important automation tool. You’ll be working more broadly within the finance department using SAP B1 to assist the Strategic Finance Manager in preparing monthly and weekly supply chain forecasting as well as ensuring critical balance sheet reporting is accurate, up to date, and robust. Job Duties:

  • Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements relating to AP, supply chain, and balance sheet
  • Working with and helping to manage the Idocuments automation AP system
  • Undertaking financial administration and internal audits
  • Supporting external audits
  • Communicating with suppliers on invoicing, statements, and payment terms
  • Developing and helping to raise standards for process controls
  • Assisting with forecasting expenditure
  • Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value.
  • Assist with tax computations and VAT filings to do with production procurement, financial forecasting of production, and draft valuation reports of raw materials balance sheet.
  • Assist with stock control, audits, counts
  • Communicate and work with the production and engineering teams to ensure total coordinated collaboration between finance and production
  • Find ways to improve payment systems and automate tasks in SAP

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of accounts payable principles.
  • Experience in accounts payable operations.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, financial management knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented, mathematical mindset, understanding of accounting categories.
  • Knowledge of accounting system GL codings and experience working SAP B1.
  • Degree or equivalent in finance and accounting.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a management accounting role.
  • Experience with computerised ledger systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel/CSV import/export, VLOOKUP.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
