The Role
The Marketing Team Leader will be responsible for leading a small team while delivering targeted CRM and retention campaigns aimed at improving customer engagement and increasing conversion rates. Working closely with Brand Relationship Managers and senior stakeholders, the Marketing Team Leader will use customer insights, campaign performance data and commercial analysis to influence strategy and optimise results.
This role combines people leadership, CRM ownership, lifecycle marketing and data-driven decision making, offering broad exposure across multiple areas of marketing and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of two marketing professionals
- Deliver targeted CRM, retention and lifecycle campaigns across email, SMS and outbound channels
- Develop customer segmentation strategies to improve engagement and conversion rates
- Manage end-of-contract marketing campaigns to encourage customer renewals
- Implement tactical marketing initiatives focused on lead generation and lead conversion
- Work closely with Brand Relationship Managers to align campaigns with partner requirements
- Monitor campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders
- Track conversion rates, customer engagement and campaign profitability
- Gather and analyse customer feedback to improve future campaign effectiveness
- Support the ongoing development and optimisation of CRM systems and processes
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with GDPR and data governance requirements
About You
- Previous experience within CRM, lifecycle marketing, retention marketing or customer marketing
- Experience managing campaigns through CRM and marketing automation platforms
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to convert customer engagement into measurable business results
- Experience with database segmentation and campaign analytics
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
- Previous team leadership or mentoring experience would be advantageous
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment
- Degree educated or equivalent
Experience within automotive, finance, insurance, fintech or other data-rich consumer environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
