Theale, Berkshire based SME have a requirement for an Office Manager (with a Finance Bias) to join a small friendly team. Reporting to the Finance Manager your key responsibility as the Office Manager is to ensure that company expenditure is monitored and purchase ledger and sales transactions are duly processed and to ensure that the premises, facilities, equipment, IT and administrative activities in relation to the office are maintained and staff have a safe working environment.


Key tasks of the Office Manager include


  • To report to senior management on issues relating to the upkeep of the office
  • Working and coordinating with suppliers to maintain the smooth running of the office
  • Lead on expenses processing in line with current HMRC guidance
  • Working with Finance team on debtor chasing and payment processing
  • Coordination of office cleaners
  • Coordination of IT support
  • Day to day point of contact with Managing Agents
  • Coordination of utilities and office maintenance suppliers
  • Review and logging of staff expenses
  • Ensure staff follow the purchase order process
  • Review of supplier payments
  • Debtor chasing
  • Where a business need is identified, ad hoc projects relating to office management and finance


The ideal Office Manager must be able to run under their own steam who is flexible and have a 'can do' attitude and in return you will receive a salary of between £24k-£27k plus excellent company benefits including bonus.
