The Role
Are you looking to kickstart your career in risk management? Join a successful, growing organisation for a 1-year fixed-term contract where you will gain hands-on experience in enterprise risk management, second line controls, and risk monitoring. You will work closely with the Head of Risk and be part of a team that helps shape how the business identifies, manages, and mitigates risk. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, measuring, and monitoring potential risks across the business.
- Perform quarterly second-line controls and support first-line teams in mitigating risks.
- Participate in departmental meetings to gain insight into different areas of the business.
- Conduct research and analysis on risk topics using Microsoft Excel and SAP Business Objects.
- Contribute to ad-hoc and recurring projects, including operational risk mapping and segregation of duties analysis.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly and deliver assignments within deadlines.
About You
- Recent graduate in a numerate discipline, ideally Business or Economics, with a 2:1 or higher.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.
- Confident decision-maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (intermediate level).
- Eager to learn and contribute to process improvements and risk management initiatives.
