Sales Administrator – Financial Services – Berkshire
An established financial services provider is currently seeking a highly organised Sales Administrator to support their Direct Sales Team. This office-based position plays a key role in the processing of new business via the organisation’s Point-of-Sale system, ensuring finance applications are handled with speed, accuracy, and excellent attention to detail.
This role is being offered on a temporary basis initially, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
Working within the Direct Sales function and reporting to the Direct Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately entering customer details and finance quote figures into the company’s Point-of-Sale (POS) online system
- Monitoring the status of finance proposals and updating information within a customer-facing portal
- Liaising with internal departments such as Underwriting and Payout to progress applications smoothly through the system
- Contacting customers directly to request additional documentation and provide updates on application progress
- Uploading customer proofs, challenging declined finance decisions where appropriate, and assisting with general admin tasks
- Supporting the line manager with departmental compliance and regulatory responsibilities
- Ensuring a high standard of accuracy and professionalism in all day-to-day activities
This role requires a keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work across departments to resolve queries and keep proposals moving efficiently.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Ideally A-level qualifications or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role (preferable, not essential)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A calm, professional approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A flexible attitude and willingness to support colleagues as needed
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues
