The Role
You will be responsible for manually underwriting dealer finance proposals, ensuring all decisions align with internal credit policy and risk appetite. By analysing customer financial information and credit data, you will determine affordability and repayment capacity, leading to accurate Accept or Decline outcomes.
Alongside decision-making, you will manage your own workflow using internal systems, ensuring all cases are handled within agreed service levels. You will also engage with dealers and internal stakeholders, responding to queries and supporting smooth case progression.
The role also offers involvement in scorecard testing and risk model improvements, contributing to the ongoing development of the underwriting strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Underwrite finance proposals in line with credit policy and risk standards

Analyse financial data, including income, expenditure and repayment capacity

Review credit reports and supporting information to make informed decisions

Manage and prioritise your own work queue to meet service level agreements

Maintain consistent quality and accuracy in all underwriting decisions

Respond to inbound dealer and stakeholder queries within target timeframes

Monitor and progress proposals efficiently through to completion

Escalate any backlog or operational issues when required

Contribute to scorecard testing and risk model enhancements

Support performance monitoring and SLA adherence
